Get More out of Your Benefits

Your health benefits provide access to top-quality care at a competitive cost. The choices you make when you enroll and throughout the year can help you get more value out of the benefits.

Save with a Flexible Spending Account

A Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a great savings tool. You set aside tax-free money to pay for health care expenses, including glasses, contacts, medications, copays for medical services and more. See Flexible Spending Accounts for more information.

Protect yourself from potentially high costs

Memorial Hermann offers Group Accident Insurance and Critical Illness Insurance through MetLife.  Each plan pays a cash benefit if you experience a covered event. You can use this benefit for anything: out-of-pocket medical expenses, support services like day care, housekeeping, groceries and more. Refer to Additional Insurances for more information.

Preventive care is good for you and your wallet

Preventive care — such as wellness visits and screenings — can show that your health is right on track or, in some cases, indicate an issue you need to discuss with your physician. Understanding your health is an important step to get ahead of more serious and costly care.

In addition, when you get approved preventive care, you earn the Employee Health Credit, which saves you $600 on your medical premiums the following Fiscal Year. For more information, go to the Employee Health Credit page on allHR.
