Notify HR and your healthcare insurance providers
If your spouse or dependent child passes away and they are covered under a Memorial Hermann healthcare plan, contact HR Shared Services to have them removed.

Update beneficiary information
If your loved one was listed as your beneficiary, change your life insurance and retirement savings plan beneficiaries so they accurately reflect who you should receive your benefit in the event of your death.

Claim any benefits you are eligible to receive
If your loved one was enrolled in dependent life insurance or Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, contact the insurers to claim your benefits.1
