MEMORIAL HERMANN maternity EXPERIENCE PROGRAM

We are proud to offer the Memorial Hermann Maternity Experience Program to employees and family members enrolled in one of our medical plans. This program is designed to give an expectant parent the personalized guidance, resources and hands-on support they need throughout pregnancy and up to one year postpartum.

Having access to personalized guidance and resources can help empower you in your pregnancy journey, answer questions as they come up and help you focus on yourself and your baby without worrying.

You choose the support you want and need. You can take advantage of the Babyscripts myJourney mobile app, work directly with a dedicated nurse navigator or benefit from both.

If you are enrolled in one of the Memorial Hermann medical plans, you have access to the full experience.

If you are not enrolled in one of our Memorial Hermann medical plans, nurse navigators will not be familiar with your benefits. However, you can still access general education and resources.  

Memorial Hermann has partnered with Babyscripts, the leading virtual maternity care platform, which combines intelligent technology and care management services.

The Babyscripts myJourney app is the primary and most comprehensive way to participate in the Memorial Hermann Maternity Experience Program. It provides timely education, tracking tools and easy access to Memorial Hermann-specific resources, including: 

  • Updates about your baby’s weekly development
  • Evidence-based, timely educational information throughout your journey
  • Reminders about recommended activities
  • Important information to help keep your baby healthy (for example, which medications you can take during pregnancy and exercises that are safe for the baby)
  • Optional weight tracking to follow progress throughout pregnancy
  • Educational information on breastfeeding
  • Information on and access to mental health resources, including mindfulness and meditation exercises

Pregnancy is a deeply personal experience, so the Memorial Hermann Maternity Experience Program also offers personal clinical support.

You have access to registered nurses who provide guidance and support throughout your pregnancy journey and up to one year postpartum. This support is optional, and if you choose to opt out, you can still access Babyscripts.

As part of this Program, a nurse navigator will be your single point of contact. Connect them by phone or online for:

  • Personalized support and education to help you understand pregnancy, postpartum care and any specific, non-emergent health concerns*
  • Improved access to resources, including doulas for those who qualify, nutrition support and community services
  • Help identifying specialists and additional resources and navigating employee benefits, including toolkits and checklists
  • Assistance developing birth plans and support with care plans
  • Collaboration with your care team, if needed
  • Help accessing emotional and mental health resources, if needed
  • A consistent point of contact and a bridge between providers, the hospital and community resources

* Please direct urgent medical questions to your provider. In case of emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Step 1: Sign up.

  • Click the Memorial Hermann enrollment link.
  • You will receive a text message with a link to download the Babyscripts myJourney app, along with a passcode to enter when you log in for the first time.
  • Click the link you received or download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Select “My Healthcare Provider.”
  • Enter the passcode you received.     

Step 2: Opt in to connect with a dedicated nurse navigator.  

  • Once you accept the terms to work with a dedicated nurse navigator, one will reach out to begin supporting you throughout your journey.
  • If you choose to opt out, you will not receive outreach from a nurse navigator.

Step 3: Start exploring the app and additional support services.

If you are unable or prefer not to use the app, you may still participate in the program by contacting our nurse navigators directly at: askthenavigator@memorialhermann.org. They can help you enroll and connect you to available resources.

By downloading the Babyscripts myJourney mobile application and choosing to participate in any one of the Programs, you agree to receive electronic communications, appointment reminders, and updates to the cell phone number and/or email address provided, including messages sent by autodialers.*

As a Memorial Hermann Health System employee, you have access to download the Babyscripts myJourney mobile application and participate in various maternity care, education, and care management programs (“Programs”). Your access to the Programs may be limited if you are not insured by Memorial Hermann’s Employer Sponsored Health Plan administered by Aetna.
