tobacco cessation program

Tobacco use is the leading cause of lung cancer, with smoking responsible for 85 to 90% of all lung cancer diagnoses.1 That’s why taking steps to quit is one of the most important things you can do for your long-term health – and why Memorial Hermann is here to support you.

All full-time, part-time, and supplemental employees have access to the Quit For Life program, a no-cost, clinically proven program offered in collaboration with the American Cancer Society.

When you join Quit For Life, you receive:

  • Personalized coaching support through every step as you develop and follow a plan to quit. Connect with a coach by phone, chat or text* for ongoing guidance, accountability and support designed to help you achieve long-term success.
  • Nicotine replacement support (NRT)—like gum or patches—at no additional cost to help curb cravings and double your chance of quitting for good. Eligibility rules apply.
  • Online resources for advice on how to manage triggers, track progress and connect with others who are trying to quit.

Coaches are available 24/7, excluding holidays. They can help you quit all forms of tobacco – including cigarettes, vaping products and chewing tobacco.
