It’s time to enroll in
Your Benefits for FY25

Annual Enrollment:
April 29-May 12

Together at Memorial Hermann, we’re redefining health care for the diverse communities we proudly serve. Your hard work and compassion are at the core of everything we do, so we’re committed to making sure you have flexible and comprehensive benefits that meet your needs, situation and budget.

Annual Enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to review your current health and insurance benefits and make updates, if needed. It’s also a great time to explore this website for information on all the benefits available to you throughout the year.

We’re always evaluating and updating our benefit programs to make sure you have the flexible, affordable support you need.

We’re pleased to make the following programs available. You don’t need to take action during Annual Enrollment to take advantage of these new programs.

  • Financial Finesse is available now. Get personalized access to unbiased, certified financial planners with this new program, which is free to all full-time and part-time employees year-round! No matter where you’re starting from, Financial Finesse can help you improve your financial situation, manage your expenses and build your wealth.
  • Bright Horizons EdAssist is coming soon. This program will include exciting new ways to navigate pathways for your career aspirations.

To comply with regulatory requirements and respond to market trends, the following changes to our existing plans take effect July 1, 2024:

  • Medical Plan Updates:
    • Emergency Department visits will require a $300 copay for both the MH Care Plan and the MH Care Broad Access Plan. Remember: This copay will be waived if you’re admitted to the hospital.
    • In addition, urgent care visits will remain $25 at Memorial Hermann – GoHealth locations, under both plans. All other urgent care providers will require a $50 copay under the MH Care Plan and 30% after deductible under the MH Broad Access Plan.
Remember: You can visit employee medical clinics for acute care. If you’re enrolled in a Memorial Hermann medical plan, there is no charge for the visit and any testing and lab work completed onsite.  If you’re not covered by a Memorial Hermann medical plan, your cost will be determined by your individual insurance plan. Virtual and in-person visits are available.
Virtual care appointments are required; in-person appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are accepted.
Visit Get More out of Your Benefits for a list of locations and contact information.
    • FY25 deductibles – the amount you pay out-of-pocket before the plan begins paying benefits – will also change as follows (amounts are per individual/family):
Remember: You will pay less out-of-pocket when you receive care from Preferred Tier providers. See the Medical Plan Comparison for details.

MH Care Plan

Broad Access Plan

$750 / $1,875

$1,000 / $2,500

$750 / $1,875

$2,000 / $5,000

Visit the Medical Coverage page for more information on the available coverage.

  • Premium Updates: Memorial Hermann will continue to cover the majority of rising health care costs, but employees will see an increase to medical plan premiums and dental plan premiums. Vision plan premiums will decrease. Refer to FY25 Premiums for details.
Remember: You can save $600 on your medical plan premiums by getting approved preventive care (such as an annual physical or cancer screening) by June 30, 2024. For more information, go to the Employee Health Credit page on allHR.
  • Enhanced Coverage for Progressive Lenses: Standard progressive lenses will be covered in full when you enroll in the Superior Vision Plan. Visit the Vision Coverage page for more information on the available coverage.
  • Save More for Health Care Expenses: The annual contribution limit for the Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) will increase from $3,050 to $3,200. A Health Care FSA allows you to set aside money to pay for health care expenses tax free. If you’re not enrolled, visit the FSAs page to learn more about this great budgeting tool. If you are enrolled in an FSA, remember IRS rules require you to re-enroll each year to continue participating.

What Happens If You Don’t Take Action

If you don’t enroll by May 12, your current coverages will continue, with coverage for everyone who is enrolled today. This default includes no coverage if you are not enrolled in a health or insurance plan for FY24.

There are two exceptions:

  • Participation in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) will not carry over from one year to the next. You must actively enroll to take advantage of the Health Care and/or Dependent Care FSA in FY25.
  • PTO Buy or Sell. You must actively enroll to buy or sell Paid Time Off accrued in FY25.

Your next opportunity to enroll will be FY26 Annual Enrollment in May 2025, unless you experience a qualified event and can make mid-year changes.

In addition to the core, health and insurance benefits we offer, you have access to supplemental benefits and perks aimed at addressing your individual needs and preferences. You can take advantage of the following programs any time during the year, without taking action during Annual Enrollment.

  • Retirement Savings Plan, including up to a 6% company match (up to 3% if you’re eligible for the Memorial Hermann Pension Plan) to help your savings grow, and access to valuable tools and resources that can help you manage your finances.
  • Financial Finesse for unbiased financial coaching, education and guidance.
  • Spring Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which comes with mental well-being services and coaching for all employees, including up to 6 free therapy sessions each for you and your dependents age 6 or older.
  • Additional mental health resources through Headspace and the MHHS Wellness Population Health and Wellness Team
  • Family Resources for caregiver resources, including help finding babysitters, nannies and pet sitters, assistance with adoption fees, tutoring, test prep, college coaches and more.
  • Learn Well, which can help you reach your educational and career growth goals with coaching, financial support and more.
